Annual St. Baldrick’s Day Fundraiser Happening Sunday at Red Jug Pub – Donations Still Being Accepted

The annual St. Baldrick’s Foundation event at the Red Jug Pub in Cortland will be taking place this Sunday, March 9th at 1pm. This is the 12th year the Red Jug Pub has held the fundraising event. St. Baldricks raises money to fight against childhood cancer. Participants shave their heads to stand in solidarity with cancer patients. Donations collected go to support cancer patients and research. Owner of the Red Jug Pub, Tom Terwilliger, was honored with a proclamation from the City of Cortland for the generosity and spirit by those in the Cortland Community towards the fundraiser and Mr. Terwilliger has been hosting the event for 12 years. Mr. Terwilliger then spoke to the Common Council about the generosity.

“Cortland is by far the most generous. Cortland is by far the most concerned. Cortland may also be by far the most impacted by cancer.” Red Jug Pub owner, Tom Terwilliger said during the Common Council.

Last year, the Red Jug Pub said they were able to raise over $40,000 dollars with over 40 participants who showed their support by shaving their heads. All funds raised go directly towards research to end kids’ cancer. You can make an online donation by clicking HERE.
