The air quality health advisory has been extended through Thursday, June 29th by the NY Department of Environmental Conservation and the Department of Health.
The advisory will now cover the entire state and air quality conditions are expected to be worse tomorrow than they have been today, Wednesday. Forecasted levels for the Central New York Region are expected to be at least 160 fine particles, considered an unhealthy level for all.
It is strongly recommended for those who have heart or lung disease, older adults, or children and teens avoid outdoor activities or keep them short, do less strenuous activities, and reschedule outdoor activities or move them indoors.
