Afton Woman Arrested Following Incident at S&D Petroleum in Cincinnatus
Troopers from the State Police Barracks at Homer were dispatched to a reported erratic woman at the S&D Petroleum store on Route 26 in Cincinnatus on Wednesday, November 12th around 8:30 in the morning.
State Police say 40 year old Krista Paige Hilliar of Afton, NY, was denied purchasing cigarettes inside the store due to her not having the proper identification. After she was denied, Hilliar became disorderly.
Hilliar would eventually get into the driver’s seat of a vehicle and drive off, State Police say. Troopers in the area located Hilliar at a residence on Route 26 and interviewed her. While being interviewed about the incident, State Police say she appeared to be impaired.
State Police determined Hilliar operated the vehicle while she was impaired and arrested and charged her with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Drugs, a Misdemeanor. She was transported to the State Police Barracks in Homer. Hilliar is due in Cincinnatus Town Court next week.
