Adirondacks Approaching Peak Foliage: Cortland County Nearing Mid-Point
The weather is cooling down, the days are shortening and the trees are changing color. Fall is truly here. I Love New York has their annual Fall Foliage Report updating constantly to show where in the state the leaves have reached peak foliage.
So far, the Adirondacks have reached peak foliage; the Cortland area is nearing the mid-point of the change. This year’s foliage is expected to bring bright colors as a result of a reasonably wet summer season.
This marks the third year of the I Love NY Fall Foliage Report for the state. According to I Love NY, reports are obtained by over 100 volunteer field observers and reflect expected color conditions for the coming weekend. Reports are issued each Wednesday.
