AAA of Western and Central New York has announced safety tips to help protect your kids as part of National Child Passenger Safety Week.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates car crashes are the leading cause of death for children ages 1-13. According to officials, data shows this is due to many factors including an incorrect car seat installation and transitioning children out of appropriate car seats before it’s safe to do so. AAA urges parents to seek resources like car seat inspections to make sure forward-facing and booster car seats are put in place correctly
