A Spooky Good Time Happening in Preble Saturday

This truly isn’t something to be scared about, but something to enjoy with the whole family this weekend at the Preble Town Park. This Saturday, October 28th from 3 to 5pm, the Preble Fire Department and residents in Preble are having a Halloween party.

Residents in Preble are being encouraged to participate in the trunk or treat and the numerous other activities including a pumpkin contest, costume contest, music, fire trucks on display, and of course, donuts, cider, coffee, popcorn, and chocolate milk.

For the pumpkin contest there will be a competition for carving, decorating, and the overall best pumpkin. Both the winners of the carving and decorating will be done by judges with the overall best pumpkin being judged by a vote by the public. The winner will receive an apple pie.

The costume contest will have separate age groups one from 0 to 6 years old, 7 to 11 years old, and 12 years or older. The overall best costume winner will also get an apple pie.

Residents who wish to participate in the Trunk-or-Treat are asked to show up prior to 4:30 as the event will begin around then.
