Traffic Stop Turns Up Cocaine in Cortland

A Syracuse man is accused of possessing multiple packets of cocaine in Cortland.

Cortland Police say they responded to a call of suspicious activity on Williams Street around 2 o’clock Saturday morning.

Officers stopped a car driven by 34-year-old LeRoy Raynor Sr. of 117 Parkway Drive, Syracuse. He was driving without a license.

A search of his vehicle turned up 25 individual packages of cocaine. Police did not have a total weight on the drugs.

Raynor was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, which is a class B felony.

Raynor was arraigned and sent to the Cortland County Jail without bail and is due back in court today.
