An Ithaca businessman has pleaded guilty to grand larceny after under-reporting income and sales taxes for seven years.
59 year old Jonathan Pargh has repaid $86,420.11 in sales tax and $48,764 in personal income tax, as well as approximately $154,561.86 in penalties and interest to the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.
According to a news release from New York Attorney General, Pargh plead guilty to the grand larceny charge Friday in Tompkins County Court. Pargh was charged with grand larceny and tax fraud.
Pargh owned two stores on the Ithaca Commons 3-D Light, a head shop, and Loose Threads, a women’s clothing and accessory store.
