Two Men Facing Charges Following Heroin Raid in Groton

Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested two people in connection with a heroin bust in Groton Tuesday afternoon.

Police executed a search warrant at 166 Main Street in the Village of Groton yesterday.

During the search, officers seized 50 prepackaged bags of heroin, 1 bag of loose heroin weighing approximately 4 grams, and $600 dollars in U.S. Currency. The Street value for the narcotics seized is estimated to be worth $2,400.

18-year-old Brooklynn Davis of that address and 27-year-old Bryant Barnes of Rahway, New Jersey were both arrested and charged with a felony count of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Both were arraigned in the Town of Groton Court.

Police say the raid and arrests follow a lengthy investigation into narcotics trafficking in Groton.
