Superintendent Michael Hoose has announced he will retire at the end of the current academic year from the Cortland Enlarged City School District.
In an email sent Wednesday (January 15), Hoose told district staff he had submitted his official letter of intent to School Board President Janet Griffin earlier that day.
He expressed gratitude for the hard working individuals and departments with him along his eight-year tenure, adding that it was his pleasure to serve as their superintendent.
Hoose arrived in Cortland in 2012, after serving four years as superintendent of Romulus Central School District.
