Governor Cuomo’s 2020 State of the State address outlined dozens of proposals for the coming year, but some local agencies are frustrated that none of them included solutions to the shortage of child care across New York.
On Friday, the Cortland County Chamber of Commerce and the Cortland YWCA both released statements calling residents to action, requesting they show their support by calling the governor’s office throughout the day today and tomorrow (January 13-14) with their concerns.
They also encouraged phone calls this past Friday.
Chamber President Bob Haight said “New York’s child care system, our children, our families, our dedicated child care educators cannot go another year without investment.”
