A one-car crash Wednesday (November 13) in the town of Danby sent multiple people to area hospitals, including three unrestrained minors — two of which were ejected from the vehicle during the accident.
Officers with the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene in the 100 block of Hornbrook Road just before 5:30 p.m.
Their investigation determined the driver was traveling southwest on Hornbrook Road when they crossed into the opposing lane and went off the roadway and down an embankment, before striking a tree.
Officials say the driver and three minors were transported to area hospitals. One front-seat passenger refused further treatment at the scene.
No more details are available at this time, but deputies say charges will be filed pending further investigation.
