First Legal Complaint Filed Against Wild Ginger Asian Fusion

Local News

The first official complaint over an outbreak of campylobacteriosis at the Wild Ginger Asian Fusion restaurant in Cortland was filed yesterday (November 12) in NYS Supreme Court by the Rochester-based Heisman, Nunes and Hull law firm.

Additionally, they’ve partnered with Marler Clark – out of Seattle – for its specialization in food borne illness litigation.

This comes after health officials with the Cortland County Health Department last week linked the restaurant to a recent string of bacterial stomach infections.

At least seven people are reported to have lab-confirmed cases of campylobacteriosis, which is linked to raw or undercooked poultry.

Each reported to have ate at the restaurant between October 18 and October 31.

Wild Ginger now has up to twenty days to respond to the complaint, according to the official summons.
