Body Found Near Ithaca Falls Identified as Missing Cornell Student

The body of an 18-year-old Cornell student was recovered on Saturday (October 26), after he was reported missing since Thursday night.

Officials with Cornell and Ithaca Police, as well as Ithaca Fire, say they located 18-year-old Antonio Tsialas deceased in the waters of Fall Creek near Ithaca Falls.

Tsialas had not been seen or heard from since Thursday evening after leaving an event at Phi Kappa Psi on Mary Ann Wood Drive) around 9:30 p.m.

He was reported missing after failing to meet a family member the following afternoon.

The circumstances of his death are still under investigation, but no foul play is suspected at this time.

Assisting crews with the search were members of State Police, State Forest Rangers, State Department of Environmental Conservation Police and Cornell Botanic Gardens staff.
