Services have been set for a Homer man, who was identified as the Suit Kote employee killed in Wednesday (October 9) afternoon’s worksite accident in Tully. (see more on the incident here)

Forty-one-year-old Jeffrey Stout was a lifelong area resident who most recently lived on North Fulton Street. A 1996 graduate of Homer Central High School, he was employed with Suit Kote for more than ten years, beginning in 2006.

He was described by those closest to him as a hard worker, who put the love of his family and children above all else.

Stout was working as foreman, directing traffic at the Tully site on Route 80 when he was accidentally struck by a dump truck that was being backed up by another employee who did not see him.

His memorial services are planned for Monday (October 14) morning at 11:00 at the Donald Barber Funeral Home, 5016 State Route 11 in Homer.

A “Celebration of Life” will follow at the Homer American Legion, 63 S. Main St., beginning at Noon.

Additionally, a trust for Stout’s children is being established. Memorial contributions may be directed to Rachael Stout, 35 Prospect St., Homer, NY 13077.
