In preparation for SUNY Cortland’s move-in tomorrow (August 23), University Police will be closing down Prospect Terrace at 5 a.m. from the Dowd Fine Arts building to the corner of Neubig Road and Broadway.
The road will be reopened to one-way traffic at 9 a.m. and normal traffic will resume as soon as the move-in process is complete.
Travelers can expect considerable traffic congestion throughout the city all weekend, as several thousand students and their families make their yearly transition into town. That will also mean heavy foot traffic in stores, restaurants and other area establishments, especially downtown.
Use extra caution on the road and stay tuned with X101 for all your real-time traffic updates.
