A Willet man is in critical condition after being thrown from an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) he was operating yesterday morning (August 8) on Route 41 in the Town of Willet.
Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene just past 8 a.m., where they say 67 year-old Richard Guastello had lost control of his ATV while turning onto Penelope Road from Route 41.
Deputies believe he “may have been having a medical condition” at the time of the crash, although it’s still under investigation.
Guastello was the only person involved and was transported via Marathon Ambulance to Wilson Memorial Hospital in Binghamton.
He was later flown to Albany Medical Center for a head injury, where he is currently listed in critical condition.
