Homer Trustees To Vote On Syracuse Haulers Bid, Discuss New Reserve Spending

The Village of Homer will hold a board meeting tonight (June 12) at 6:00, where they’re expected to either accept or reject a recent bid made by Syracuse Haulers to continue its trash removal and recycling service in the village.

The meeting will begin with a public hearing on $25,600 from the Recreation Reserves being spent on a new cargo van, as well as $37,000 in Municipal Property Reserves being spent on a boiler replacement and needed repairs at the firehouse building.

Also on the agenda: An approval of recommendations made by the MAP Committee on the remaining funds in the Village’s Microenterprise Assistance Program.

There will also be a vote on submitting CFA’s for a new salt shed and phase four of the Smart Water Meter Project.
