Robert Plant and his current backing group, The Sensational Space Shifters, have lined up a new North American tour that will take place in September and October.
The trek includes headlining shows, a joint concert with Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats and a few festival performances, two of which were previously announced.
The tour begins with a September 13 appearance at Canada’s Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and runs through an October 3 concert in Bend, Oregon. Plant, Rateliff and their respective bands will team up for a September 17 show in Philadelphia.
The previously announced festival performances are Willie Nelson‘s Outlaw Music Festival on September 20 in Indianapolis, and the Bourbon & Beyond Festival on September 21 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Tickets for the newly announced shows will go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 10, at 10 a.m. local time. A fan pre-sale will launch via RobertPlant.com starting Wednesday, May 8, at 10 a.m. local time, while additional pre-sale tickets will be available starting Thursday, May 9, at 10 a.m. local time. Plant and The Sensational Space Shifters had also had been scheduled to perform on August 16 at the Woodstock 50 festival in Watkins Glen, New York, but plans for the anniversary event currently are up in the air.
