State Police were called to the Whitney Point Fairgrounds Monday (April 29) night on reports that someone was ripping up the lawn of the Whitney Point Fairgrounds in a pickup truck.
Troopers arrived to the scene and say they did find 26-year-old Alexander Donenko in the area, but he denied doing the damage and they could not charge him.
The next morning, Police followed up on the scene and again found Donenko, this time in the enclosed part of the fairgrounds in his truck.
An investigation then determined he did create the damage and was returning to see it in the day light.
Donenko was also found to be in possession of a suspended license, an active bench warrant with the Binghamton Police Department and a small amount of marijuana.
He was brought to Binghamton PD to answer the bench warrant and will also appear in the town of Triangle Court on May 14.
