A Cortland man out on parole was arrested Monday (April 22) night after an attempted stabbing at a residence on South Avenue in the City of Cortland.

Police say 25-year-old Tyler Emm tried to stab a 35-year-old woman at the residence and also took her cell phone from her when she attempted to call for help.
