The City of Cortland sent out details this week of a rehabilitation project that may once again be slowing things down on Madison Street.
The Water Department has been at work since Monday (April 8), making various improvements to lines around the city.
Officials say there will be disruptions in water service during that time, but city employees will notify you if, when and where they will be.
After that work is complete, crews from the Department of Public Works and Suit-Kote Corporation will mill the asphalt before making repairs to street utilities like curbing, storm sewers and gas systems. Fresh asphalt will then be laid on top for a fresh paving.
City officials say this project will reduce Madison Street to one lane and limit parking in the area.
The city apologizes for any inconvenience and said the work should be complete sometime in June.
