Parker School To Celebrate End of 90 Years During Special Evening On April 25

Local News

Parker Elementary School will be honored at the end of this month as it nears the closing of its doors in July after 90 years.

A special evening on Thursday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m. will commemorate the memories of students and staff, both present and past, along with a reading of a play written by a former principal Kevin Yard about the school’s founder, Alton B. Parker.

They’re still looking for around a dozen alumni, faculty or members of the community to participate in that special ceremony.

Virgil School will also be closing in July.
