Blotter: Two Arrested For Drug Sales and One For Selling Stolen T.V.

A Cortland man was arrested early Sunday morning after a traffic stop led Officers with the Cortland Sheriff’s Office to the discovery of an active drug warrant.

Deputies say 40-year-old Danny Marks Jr. of Union Street in Cortland was arrested for a sealed indictment handed up by the Cortland County Supreme Court after an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Cortland County Drug Task Force, Cortland City Police and the New York State Police..

Marks was arraigned in County Court on Monday and released to Alternatives to Incarceration.

He’s due back in court April 9.

A McGraw man was arrested on Monday (March 25), also by Officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office on a sealed indictment handed up by the County Supreme Court.

31-year-old Jeffrey Stevens of Route 11 in McGraw has been charged with 3rd degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, as a result of a narcotics investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Cortland County Drug Task Force and the New York State Police.

Stevens was arraigned in County Court on Monday and remanded to the Cortland County Jail on $1,000.00 cash bail and $2,000.00 insurance bond.

He’s due back in court April 4.


A Cortland man was arrested yesterday morning (March 27) after reportedly selling a television at the Pawn Boss on Main Street in Cortland that was stolen from the Wal Mart in Cortlandville.

Cortland Police arrested 34-year-old Alan Blanchard, of Main Street in Cortland, for the incident which occurred back on January 16.

Blanchard was remanded to the Cortland County Jail and his return date to court was not listed.
