Philip Cosimo, Jr. of Cortland passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2019 at home. He was born August 19, 1947 in Cortland the only son of the late Philip Cosimo, Sr. And Elizabeth Gattola Cosimo.
“Pudge” as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was a lifelong resident of Cortland. He was a 1965 graduate of Cortland High School. Although he worked various jobs throughout his life, his main passion was music. In his younger years he played guitar and drums in local bands and taught guitar.
“Pudge” is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law; Marlene and Bradley Brown of Cortland and Lisa and Kevin Caughey of Cobleskill. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Sarah Caughey (Matthew Ege), Remy Brown (Stephen Kearney) Keefe Brown and Corey Caughey, his great nieces; Jenicah Brown, Jamyson Kearney and Kenzley Kearney.
The family would like to thank Serina Ingrahm, his long time care aide for all she did for him over the years to help him improve his quality of life. We are forever grateful.
