State Police at Ithaca reported last night that the suspect from Tuesday’s (March 12) shots fired complaint in Dryden is in custody.

32-year-old Eric McLaurin surrendered himself at the Dryden Town Court yesterday around 4 p.m. and was arraigned on the felony charge of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree.

He was then sent to Tompkins County Jail on $6,000 cash bail or $12,000 bond.

McLaurin reportedly fired a gun shot Tuesday afternoon from a residence on Dryden Road while a woman and child were also home.

Police then closed the road for several hours and eventually raided the residence where McLaurin was no longer home.

A search was then conducted and Police asked for help from the public, but McLaurin ultimately turned himself into authorities yesterday.

That investigation is on-going and Police say more charges are likely.
