Queen + Adam Lambert Documentary Coming To ABC

Music News

Coming to ABC on April 29th is the special The Show Must Go On: The Queen + Adam Lambert Story. The new doc serves as a teaser for Queen and Lambert’s 24-date summer tour, which kicks off on July 10th at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena and runs through August 23rd at Charlotte, North Carolina’s Spectrum Center.

According to the press release, “With rare concert footage and exclusive, revealing portraits of the band members offstage, The Show Must Go On chronicles Queen and Lambert’s incredible journey since they first shared the stage together on American Idol in 2009. From his humble beginnings and meteoric rise on reality TV to now standing center stage as lead singer of Queen + Adam Lambert, the documentary features brand-new interviews with Lambert, his parents Leila and Eber, and Queen founding members Brian May and Roger Taylor, as well as American Idol judge Simon Cowell, Golden Globe and Oscar winner for Best Actor, Bohemian Rhapsody’s Rami Malek, and Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins.”

With Queen and Lambert proving to be a global success in every market they hit, thrilling fans — and even the most hard-nosed critics — we asked drummer Roger Taylor if some studio work between Queen and Adam Lambert is a possibility: “I would hope it would, actually. I think it would be a very interesting experiment, y’know, just to go in and see what came out. I don’t know if it would be an album, or anything. I think it’s too good a marriage to just let it go at touring. I’m sure we’ll do something”
