More than 20 county dairy princesses from around New York State will participate in the 56th Annual New York State Dairy Princess Pageant tomorrow night (February 19) in Liverpool.
One New York State Dairy Princess and two alternates will be selected to represent New York’s dairy farmers and serve as dairy industry ambassadors throughout the next year.
Contestants have already promoted milk and dairy products as county dairy princesses at the local level since spring of 2018.
They’ll now be judged by a variety of categories, including a written test, product knowledge test, prepared speech, impromptu questions and informal interaction with others.
The pageant is hosted by the American Dairy Association North East.
This year, 22 counties will be participating:

–Chautauqua County –Ontario County
–Chemung County –Orange County
–Clinton County –Oswego County
–Cortland County –Otsego County
–Delaware County –Saratoga County
–Erie County –St. Lawrence County
–Jefferson County –Tioga County
–Lewis County –Tompkins County
–Madison County –Washington County
–Montgomery County –Wyoming County
