The Alcohol & Drug Council of Tompkins County yesterday (January 11) announced that it will soon open a new addiction treatment and recovery center.
Thanks to support from the Tompkins County Legislature, the Council recently secured a 19,420 SF building located at 2353 Triphammer Road in Lansing, which will be the first in Tompkins County to provide access for addiction treatment services 7 days/week.
The new center will include a medically-supervised detox and stabilization unit with 40 beds.
Funding for the project came primarily from a $450,000 grant from the State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.
The open access component of this program will begin this month, with the residential detox and stabilization portion to follow as additional funding is secured and renovations are made to create an appropriate, healthy residential space.
