Homer Mayor McCabe Appointed To Director Position In Albany

Homer Mayor Hal McCabe was recently appointed to a director position working under the New York State Senate in Albany.

District 53 Senator Rachel May announced Friday (February 8) that McCabe has been appointed the new Director of the Legislative Commission on Rural Resources, saying in a release that she’s excited to work with him to “promote the interests of rural communities across the state.”

McCabe’s Office says he will remain in Homer and also work out of both the Syracuse State Office Building and the Legislative Office Building in Albany.

McCabe has also confirmed that he is allowed to, and will remain mayor of Homer, and will also be running again for that office this November.
