If you have an iPhone or a Mac, you may want to turn off the FaceTime feature–at least temporarily.
It’s now being reported that a new bug in OS devices running iOS 12.1 or later can let the people that call you listen to and possibly see you even if you don’t answer their call.
The bug is a glitch in the ‘group Facetime’ feature.
Governor Cuomo yesterday (January 28) issued a consumer alert warning about the bug, advising FaceTime users in New York to temporarily disable the app until the fix is made.
Apple does say they’re aware of the issue and will have a fix for it later this week.
