A Marathon man was arrested Friday morning (January 25) after a nearly two month narcotics investigation by the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.
Forty-five-year-old Sheldon O’Neill of McGraw-Marathon Road was arrested on a sealed indictment handed up by the Cortland County Supreme Court for one count of the Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree.
Police have not released exactly what controlled substance O’Neill is charged with selling.
Sheriffs took custody of O’Neill just before 10:00 Friday morning and he is now awaiting arraignment.
Assisting them with their investigation were the Cortland County Drug Task Force, New York State Police, Cortland City Police and Homer Police Department.
