A Cortland woman was arrested yesterday (January 9), after she was involved in a physical disturbance on Madison Street where she stabbed a 30-year-old man with a kitchen knife and struck him in the head with a set of keys and a glass ash tray.
The man’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.
34-year-old Cecile Barnhart of Madison Street was charged with several counts, including a felony 2nd-degree assault. She was arraigned in City Court and released to reappear on January 23.
An underage Cortland man was arrested for a DWI just before 11:00 last night (January 9) after he lost control of his vehicle and took down a utility pole on Parker Avenue in Cortland.
20-year-old Connor Caughey of North Main Street was still being held this morning, pending arraignment in Cortland City Court sometime today.
