The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office today (January 8) announced that 21-year-old Jakob Mueller, the Homer man who led authorities on two high-speed chases through three counties including Cortland on New Years’ Day has been arrested (SEE ORIGINAL STORY HERE).
The Cortland County Sheriffs Office says Mueller was arrested in Tully by State Police just after 1:30 Saturday (January 5) afternoon. A bystander saw and reported him walking on Warren Street.
Mueller was then turned over to the Cortland Sheriffs and arraigned in the Town of Homer Court. Homer Police say he is also facing charges from two separate previous incidents where he violated an order of protection.
Mueller was sent to Cortland County Jail on $5,000.00 cash or $10,000.00 bond and was set to reappear in the Town of Homer Court yesterday.
Multiple charges are also still pending in the Town of Scott, Cayuga County, and Madison County.
