A garage fire yesterday (December 30) morning at the corner of Page Green Road and Tower Road in the Town of Cortlandville took about two hours to fully extinguish.

The Cortlandville Fire Department says it was called to the location around 7:30 a.m., where they arrived to a fire “rapidly consuming” the inside of a standalone garage just feet from a house that was unharmed.

Cortlandville crews were helped at the scene by automatic mutual aid from Homer and Virgil.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Fire investigators were at the scene but no official cause has been announced.

The fire is still under investigation.
