Marathon Narcotics Bust Leads To Three Arrests

Three Marathon residents were arrested on drug charges yesterday (December 27), as a result of an ongoing investigation by the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office and the Cortland County Drug Task Force.

Police served a narcotics warrant at a residence on Academy Street in Marathon, where they located about 8 grams of methamphetamine, along with several firearms, buprenorphine strips, marijuana and an undisclosed amount of currency.

39-year-old David Miller Jr., 25-year-old Michael McCloy and 22-year-old Mickayla O’Donnell, all of Academy Street in Marathon, were arrested at the scene.

All three were then arraigned and sent to Cortland County Jail.

O’Donnell and McCloy are on a $1,000.00 cash bail/$2,000.00 bond and Miller Jr. is on a $5,000.00 cash bail/$10,000.00 bond.

Each defendant is scheduled to reappear in the Marathon Town Court on January 9 at 6:30 p.m.

Assisting Sheriffs with that warrant execution yesterday were officers from the Village of Homer Police Department, Cortland City Police Department and New York State Police.
