After receiving official approval to open from the state in recent months, the Truxton Academy Charter School is now looking to fill the position of its first Head of School.
Representatives of the Academy announced yesterday (December 12) that they are now accepting applications from qualified individuals to help run the first agricultural-themed charter school in New York State.
The school is set to open in the fall of 2019 with kindergarten, first and second-grade students in five classrooms. It will then expand one grade level per year until it reaches K-6.
Truxton Academy will fill the halls of what was formerly Hartnett Elementary School and hopes serve over 140 elementary students by 2025.
