Now more than three weeks after Election Day on November 6, incumbent District 22 Representative Claudia Tenney has finally conceded her seat in the House to her challenger, Anthony Brindisi.
The District 22 race was so close that it came down to absentee ballot.
It was all but decided last week, when it became clear Brindisi was winning the race by more votes than were remaining to be counted.
The current numbers show him ahead by about 4,000 votes with well under 2,000 left to be counted.
Tenney announced her concession yesterday and says her office will now work with Brindisi to “ensure a smooth transition and good constituent services for the people of the 22nd District.”
