It’s that time of year again. Can you even believe that Thanksgiving is next week?
AAA projects that 54.3 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more away from home this Thanksgiving, a 4.8 percent increase over last year.
That’s 2.5 million more Americans traveling than last year—making it the highest Thanksgiving travel volume since 2005.
The holiday travel period is considered to be Wednesday-Sunday of Thanksgiving week, where AAA predicts drivers in the most congested cities could see travel times as much as four times longer than a normal trip.
Are you one of the 54 million Americans who will be travelling? Or do you prefer having your holiday right at home?
Either way, be sure to keep listening to X101 for the Turkey-a-Day giveaway promotion running today through Friday (November 16).
