In a press conference from Ithaca College today (November 7th), officials from both Ithaca College and SUNY Cortland announced that next year’s Cortaca Jug game will be played at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey–home of the NFL’s New York Giants and New York Jets.

SUNY Cortland and Ithaca College were personally invited to the opportunity by the New York City Chapter of the National Football Federation.

Ithaca College’s associate vice president and director of athletics Susan Bassett said “it’s the collective goal of both Ithaca College and SUNY Cortland to break the current record of 37,355 fans in attendance at a Division III football game.”

The big game will be played on Saturday, November 16, 2019, with kickoff set for 1:00 p.m.

Tickets will go on sale December 1, starting at $15.

This Saturday’s (November 10) game is set for a noon kickoff at SUNY Cortland’s stadium complex.

It’s the 60th meeting between the two schools, and players from both football teams from the original Cortaca Jug game in 1959 will be honored at this Saturday’s half-time.
