Congressional District 22

In the 22nd Congressional District, the race was airtight.

Democratic challenger Anthony Brindisi appaers to have won the seat from incumbent Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney with a percentage score of 50.3-49.7%. Brindisi won by just over a thousand votes.

6th Judicial District

Cortland Judge Elizabeth Burns (D) was defeated by Chenango County District Attorney Joe McBride (R) with a score of 55%-45%.

State Senate District 51

Republican James Seward won his more than two-decade long position back against Democratic challenger Joyce St. George, 64-36%.

State Assembly District 126

In a close race, incumbent Republican Gary Finch won back his seat against challenger Keith Batman (D), 57-43%.

Congressional District 24

In the 24 Congressional District race, incumbent Republican John Katko sealed a close victory over Democratic challenger Dana Balter, 53.1-46.9%.

U.S. Senator

Democrat incumbent Kirsten Gillibrand easily protected her seat in the Senate from her Republican challenger Chele Chiavacci Farley. That result was 66.6-33.4%.

Governor

Andrew Cuomo won back his job as New York’s governor. He took about 59% of the vote, with the only trailing competitor being Republican Marc Molinaro at 36.8%.

Attorney General

Democrat Letitia James  secured the position of Attorney General, with 61.9%.
