The Federal Trade Commission is warning parents and their high school students of the presence of college test prep scams that have recently been reported.
The scammers claim to be from The College Board, which is the organization responsible for all PSAT and SAT tests.
Complainants say the scammers called or emailed them asking for credit card numbers so they can send PSAT prep materials that the student has supposedly requested.
College Board will never ask you for Credit Card information over the phone, and if you run into this scam or any others the FTC asks that you send in a report to FTC.gov/complaint.
