Officials investigating the upstate New York limousine crash that killed all 18 aboard and two other bystanders say that the vehicle’s driver didn’t have the necessary federal certification to operate it.
They also say the limo failed a state inspection last month.
It’s also been reported that one of the passengers had texted concerns about the “terrible condition” of the limo to a friend less than 20 minutes before the accident.
Investigators said the vehicle didn’t leave any skid marks before impact.
The incident is still under investigation, including by the New York State Police.
