The Cortland County Legislature held a special joint meeting this morning (October 1) of the Personnel and Budget and Finance Committees in order to select and appoint a new county administrator–a position that’s been vacant since the previous administrator resigned in 2014.
The Legislature will not announce the name of the new administrator until the close of this Wednesday’s (October 3) special meeting, which it will also use to select a new chair.
Also on the agenda is the appointment of a county administrator, which has been vacant for many years and the county began prospecting for back in June of this year.
Charles Sudbrink stepped down as chairman last week after being appointed the County’s Superintendent of Highways.
Wednesday’s meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the second-floor Legislative Chambers of the County Office Building.
