An Ithaca man was arrested last week after he forcibly entered two separate residences armed with a machete.
Ithaca Police say 20-year-old Dakota Croak broke into the first home Thursday night on West Village Place in Ithaca, punching the male occupant before demanding drugs and money from him.
When the man said he didn’t have either, Croak fled and broke into a second home on Chestnut Street, located adjacent to the first.
The woman inside told Police that Croak entered with his machete drawn and smashed her microwave before again fleeing.
Police were then investigating the scene when Croak reappeared and approached them with his machete in-hand.
They were able to safely disarm and arrest him just after 10 p.m.
Croak was arraigned and remanded to Tompkins County Jail on $4,000 cash/$8,000 bond.
