A homeless man was arrested in Cortland Saturday for two separate violent incidents this month with a 25-year-old female at her residence on Main Street.
The most recent occurred last Wednesday, September 15, when Cortland Police say 28-year-old Clayton Lawson threw a drinking glass at the female, striking her in the head and causing lacerations and bruising.
He also cut up the mattress she was laying on and threatened to kill her before she jumped out a two story window to escape him, fracturing her right ankle.
Police say on September 8, Lawson hit the same female repeatedly with a USB cord and also punched her in the arm.
Lawson was arrested Saturday night and sent to jail on $5,000 Bond /$10,000 bail. He was set to appear in court yesterday.
