USDA Launches Program To Help Farmers Suffering From Foreign Retaliation

Local News

The U.S. Department of Agriculture launched its trade mitigation package yesterday (September 6), aimed at assisting farmers suffering from damage due to unjustified trade retaliation by foreign nations.

Producers of corn, dairy, wheat and more can now sign up until January 15, 2019 for the Market Facilitation Program.

Eligible producers should apply after harvest is complete, as payments will only be issued once production is reported.
