The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for our area until 8pm this evening.
Heat Index Values are forecasted to be in the mid and upper 90s to around 100 in valley locations due to temperatures in the lower 90s, and dew points in the lower 70s.
Very warm and humid conditions will continue into Wednesday.
The NWS does warn the heat and humidity may cause heat stress during outdoor exertion or extended exposure.
A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
