A Homer man was arrested last week after violating his parole and attempting to run from officers who recognized him.
Homer Police say one of their officers saw 25-year-old Jacob Falso walking near Prospect Street Wednesday afternoon (August 22) and approached him with an investigator from the Cortland County Sheriffs department.
Falso then ran, but was caught a short distance away and arrested.
Police then used Falso’s location to determine that of a second parole violator they knew to be associating with him, 38-year-old Laura Cole of Cortland.
Officers from the Homer Police, Cortland County Sheriff and New York State Parole then went to Cole’s residence on North Fulton St and found her hiding in a bedroom.
Cole was then arrested herself without incident.
She and Falso are now both in Cortland County Jaim, lodged on their parole warrants.
