American Red Cross ‘Sounds The Alarm’ On Home Fire Safety

Local News

Volunteers from the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team responded to nine separate fires across Western and Central New York this weekend (August 24-26), providing immediate emergency assistance for a total of 57 people.

Now, the Red Cross wants your help to ‘Sound the Alarm’ and be part of their nationwide effort to reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by home fires.

The Red Cross is now joining with fire departments and community groups nationwide to install free smoke alarms in homes that need them.
